OCC Committee Update

 
Suggested Names for New Building                               




At the Parish General Assembly held on October 30, 2016, the OCC Committee announced a plan for parishioners to participate in the naming of our new center. The full process is listed below. Families in good standing, including children ages 10 and above are encouraged to fill out a ballot obtained from the church office. Suggested names can also be submitted by email. Details are listed below.

Process:
        1. Holy Trinity members and ministry participants in good standing can submit one suggestion for the name of             the new building.
        2. Suggestions will be accepted via two methods:

                  a. A suggestion box located in the church office.
                  b. Email Cleo Stoucker directly at office@gocharleston.org.  No phone calls, please.

        3. The deadline for submitting building name suggestions is November 30, 2016.
        4. The Building Committee will then review all submissions and select three building names suggestions as                      finalists.  **The building committee reserves the right to edit or combine suggested names and also has the                  right not to choose any submission.
        5. The vote to choose the new building name will take place on December 4th, during the Parish Council                            election:
                  a. Members in good standing and their children ages 10 and up may vote.
                  b. Each eligible person may vote once.

        6. The Building Committee will tabulate the votes.
        7. The building name will be shared at the campaign public phase kickoff.

Guidelines for Building Name Submissions:

          - The name should be representative and all-inclusive of the Holy Trinity Community.
          - The name should represent Holy Trinity's faith.
          - The name should represent Holy Trinity's history and heritage.
          - Building names should not contain the name of any past or present Holy Trinity members.
